Christmas Gift Project
 December 2016

Caldicott is thrilled to be participating for the 4th year running, in helping children in Slough via the Home Start Charity. The 'Christmas Gift' project has proven to be hugely successful and invaluable for over 250 children in need. This is a wonderful opportunity for Caldicott boys to make a difference for families who live just down the road from the school!

For anyone wishing to donate, please can we ask that the gift is wrapped and labelled for a girl or a boy and with the suggested age group. We are hoping to raise approximately 250 gifts for children aged between 0 and 8 years old. Presents can be craft sets, colouring books, lego, balls, stuffed animals, dolls etc. No chocolate or sweets please. We’ve split the age groups by Form so that we can make sure all ages are covered and you are welcome to attach a short Christmas note to your present. If your son is in Cooper or Jenkins, please bring in a gift for a boy. If your

son is in McArthur or Wood, please bring in a gift for a girl.  See below table for year groups.

Fourth Form Bake off
October 2016

The boys kicked off the fundraising by hosting a bake off.  The fourth form boys baked at home and brought in their delicious goods.  The delicacies where then sold to the eagerly awaiting boys in the rest of the school at the end of a school day.  The boys raised an amazing £379.35 - well done fourth form.

Caldicott aims to foster a ‘culture’ of social responsibility and thoughtfulness to others.

The Charity Committee of boys and staff meets regularly to help with the selection of charities to support. The  boys are hugely passionate and display impressive thought and reasoning behind their choices:

This group is very much involved in the planning, organising and promoting of events. They also have an ongoing educational programme with visiting speakers.  The boys will be holding a number of charitable fundraising events over the course of the year.  All monies raised will be divided between our house charities.
